18" All Composition Shirley Temple Doll

Description

This auction is for an 18”
SHIRLEY TEMPLE doll ca 1934/35. Currently downsizing my personal collection and
wish to find her a new home. She has been displayed in my doll room and is from
a smoke free environment.
Her condition is good with
no lifting or major cracks in the composition. The body shows the original patina. There is the beginning of slight
crazing on the head/face, arms and legs. There is missing paint on one arm and some minor paint rubs (mostly at the joints). Stringing is good and she displays very well. Please see photos.
She wears a mohair Honey
blonde wig styled in her signature moppet curls. However, some of the ringlets
have loosened, but the wig is still very full. She has the fixed hazel eyes
that sleep. The eyes have begun to craze just a bit. Eyelashes are mostly all there. The mouth is open showing 6 teeth. There is
some lip color missing. She has painted eyebrows and lower eyelashes.
Her costume style is the “Stand
Up & Cheer” red, polka-dotted dress made of organdy. It is high-waisted
with short puffed sleeves and full skirt.
The bottom of skirt and hemline is edged with red trim. Neck also
trimmed in red. The dressed has been washed but I couldn’t get out some of the
yellow spots. Also wears her onesie undergarment. Has the vintage nylon socks
and oil cloth shoes with center snap.
She is marked: Shirley
Temple, Cop/Ideal/N&T on the back
of the neck and Shirley Temple on the upper back torso.

Shipping
: This item will be shipped within 1-2 business days
after receiving payment. Once the item/package is in custody of the carrier, I
cannot guarantee that it will be delivered according to eBay’s
shipping/delivery calculations–they are estimates only. Additionally, I’m not
responsible for the poor handling of the package during shipment. I pack very
well to insure safe delivery. I charge a small handling fee to help with the
cost of shipping materials used when packing antique dolls. If you wish to add
insurance, please contact me before making payment so I can add it to the
invoice total. Sorry, I do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, nor do I ship
internationally, so no international bidders please.
