Cute, cute, cute. What a great addition to your tableware setting.  I do not know if it had a glass candle holder underneath to keep the gravy or sauce or cheese warm but I had one and it fit nicely in the spot so I will include it.  Could use a good polish.  All connections are secure, no loose pieces on this item.
The idea is that you can lift the handle and pour the gravy or sauce or cheese without removing it from the stand.  See images for an example.
Measures: 7″ tall and 8 1/4″ long.  The boat holds 8 ounces of liquid

I do see some plate loss on the bottom of the boat and you can clearly see this in one of the images. An area that you never look at.  🙂
